Tony Khan Says He Made Tweaks To Clockwork Carnage Match: “I’m Going To Go Over The Rules Extensively”

An update on the Clockwork Carnage match.
The Clockwork Carnage match that is done in Pro-Wrestling: EVE is being brought to All Elite Wrestling. AEW World Champion Will Ospreay, who produces for EVE, had the idea to bring the match type to AEW. The AEW World Title will be defended in a Clockwork Carnage match at WrestleDream on October 17th.
AEW President Tony Khan discussed the match while doing his livestream on X. He said it was a great idea by Ospreay, adding that he made some tweaks to it. He said the public will hear more about it during the broadcast of AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam France on 10/6.
“I’m really looking forward to the Clockwork Carnage match at WrestleDream. Will Ospreay approached me about this match and I’m really looking forward to implementing it in AEW. It was a great idea when he brought it up to me and I’m looking forward to bringing it into AEW, making it our own match. I’ve made some tweaks to the format. I’ve added qualifying matches. I’m going to go over the rules extensively. You’ll hear about it on Dynamite tonight. You’ll be hearing a lot about it in the time to come.”

At Grand Slam France, Ospreay is going to be defending the AEW World Championship against Kazuchika Okada.
