Trey Miguel Doesn’t Want To Do ’20-Minute Flip-Off’ With Leon Slater At TNA Destination X, Thinks They Have Better Story To Tell

Trey Miguel feels he and Leon Slater have a better story to tell than what people expect.
On the marquee for the November 15th TNA Destination X special is Trey Miguel challenging Leon Slater for the TNA World Championship.
Miguel spoke about the forthcoming bout during his appearance on Busted Open. He stated that he knows people probably want them to flip all over the place during the match, but he thinks they have a better story to tell.
“I read the internet; I know what people are expecting this match to be. They want a 15, 20-minute flip-off, and I think Leon (Slater) and I have such a better story to tell than that. I think we’re more of a complete — I’m the most complete I’ve ever been, he’s the most complete he’s ever been and I hate being pigeonholed to, ‘Oh, they’re flippy guys.’ No, we are bigger than that stupid stigma and this is an opportunity for both of us to show that we can tell a great story, that we can level up and kick into the next gear that people may have never seen us tap into within the walls of TNA and watch me come out the TNA World Champion. That’s imperative to me.”
Slater teamed with X Division Champion Amazing Red at the TNA tapings, and their match airs on 11/5.
