Vanity Project And Wagner Brothers To Receive Bye In 2026 Dusty Rhodes Tag Classic
On Tuesday’s NXT, general manager Robert Stone announced the return of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
On Wednesday, Stone announced that NXT Tag Team Champions The Vanity Project (Ricky Smokes & Brad Baylor) and AAA Tag Team Champions The Wagner Brothers (El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr & Galeno) will receive a bye in the tournament.
The only other team announced for the tournament is The Creed Brothers (Julius & Brutus Creed). The tournament will begin on the September 22 episode of NXT.

This will be the first Dusty Rhodes Tag Classic since 2024, which was won by Bron Breakker & Baron Corbin. The tournament began in 2015 with eight tournaments taking place over the last eleven years.
