Will Ospreay Refuses To Suffocate Kenny Omega & Fights Off Death Riders, Omega Hits Ospreay With One Winged Angel At AEW Redemption

Kenny Omega got one-up on Will Ospreay.
Closing out the first-ever AEW Redemption pay-per-view from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, was Kenny Omega defending the AEW World Championship against TNT Champion Kevin Knight.
Knight started things off by attacking Omega before the bell. After a back-and-forth bout, Omega put Knight away with the One Winged Angel. It was then made official that Omega would be defending the AEW World Championship against Will Ospreay at All In on August 30th.
Post-match, the Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Marina Shafir, PAC & Wheeler Yuta) showed up and targeted Omega. The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) jetted to the ring, but they were outnumbered.
Castagnoli wrapped a chair around Omega’s neck, but Will Ospreay hit the ring and shielded Omega. Yuta tried to divert Ospreay’s attention, but Ospreay was aware of what was happening, and he quickly jumped in front of Castagnoli, who was about to stomp on Omega’s neck.
Ospreay shoved Castagnoli down, took the chair off Omega’s neck, and then swung at the Death Riders. Moxley wanted to reason with Ospreay and was able to get the chair out of his hands.
Moxley pulled out a plastic bag and wanted Ospreay to suffocate Omega. Ospreay decided to rip the bag and then punched Moxley in the face. He then evaded attacks from the remainder of the Death Riders.
Ospreay then handed the AEW World Title to Omega, and they shook hands. He stated that from now on, it’s just about them on the road to All In.
While Ospreay was standing on the middle turnbuckle and joying with the crowd, Omega scooped him up for a One Winged Angel and planted his All In opponent.
