WWE Announces Tournament To Decide Which Luchador Will Challenge Roman Reigns For World Title On Raw In Mexico City
A tournament was announced to determine who will challenge Roman Reigns.
WWE is going to be touring South America in September 2026, and two of those show dates will be Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown.
Coming off the heels of AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio meeting with World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns at the conclusion of the 8/3 Raw, WWE pushed out the announcement that a tournament is going to take place to determine Reigns’ challenger at the 9/14 Raw in Mexico City.
Mysterio stated in the video that a tournament featuring luchadors from Raw, SmackDown and AAA will begin on the 8/10 Raw.
The winner will secure a shot at Reigns’ WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
