On the May 18th 2021 edition of WWE NXT, Serrano and Storm would meet in singles competition for the second time, having faced off previously at Stand And Deliver’s pre-show earlier that year.
While speaking to Fightful Overbooked and Joel Pearl in a new interview, Zoey Serrano spoke about the match with Toni Storm being on her bucket list for a long time before the match.
“I guess I didn’t even really think about it like that at that moment. I was just happy to be able to wrestle her because she was on my bucket list for a long time. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So I didn’t really think, oh, I’m her last match before she goes over to SmackDown because- I just figured at some point we’ll meet down the line again, you know?”
Zoey also spoke about her upcoming match with Marina Shafir at Metroplex.
“I mean, man, she’s really grown as a character. She really feels like… It feels like when I watch her…That’s you. Like, I feel like she’s really grown into herself more now than ever, being able to work alongside Jon Moxley and things like that. So I’m excited for the match.”
