Ace Austin wants to face FTR for a number of reasons.
In recent months, both Austin and his tag team partner Chris Bey have been lobbying for a match with the current AEW World Tag Team Champions, FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler). The match has been seemingly pitched by Harwood himself, who tweeted out a picture of the two teams coming face to face during WrestleMania weekend.
In a new interview with Busted Open Radio, Austin further commented on the idea of a match between the two teams, noting that there are a plethora of reasons that the bout should happen.
“I think the obvious one would be FTR, I think that would be top of the list. I wouldn’t say just because of the separate styles, because of… they’re very accomplished. But, the contrasting styles would be a huge part of that. I also think it would be good for the business, I think it would be great for both brands and everybody involved.”
