Adam Cole: Pat McAfee Is A Terrible Person, But His WrestleMania Match Was A Weekend Highlight

The rivalry between Pat McAfee and Adam Cole will never end.

The two famously started a feud on McAfee's show in July 2020, which led to two matches. Cole and McAfee competed in a singles match at NXT TakeOver XXX and then clashed again at NXT WarGames with Cole leading Undisputed ERA (Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly & Roderick Strong) against McAfee, Danny Burch, Oney Lorcan, and Pete Dunne.

McAfee stepped back in the ring at WrestleMania 38 when he took on Austin Theory. McAfee was victorious in the bout, picking up his first win in WWE, but then lost to Vince McMahon and was on the wrong end of a Stunner courtesy of Steve Austin.

When asked by Stephanie Chase about McAfee's performance at WrestleMania and his wrestling potential, Cole replied, "As a person, he's a dirtbag, can't stand him, but if I look objectively and talk about how much potential he has, Pat McAfee blows my mind. He is so athletically gifted. As far as the wrestling part, he's done great. Everyone knows he can talk for hours and is super compelling and interesting. Pat knocked it out of the park, he did an amazing job. As far as potential of where he can go and what he can do in the pro wrestling industry, I think he can go as far as he wants to, seriously. To me, it was one of the highlights of the entire weekend, Pat's match. He's a terrible person, but a lot of potential."

Kind words from a bitter enemy.
