Adam Cole Says Bryan Danielson Reached Out To Him On His Road To Recovery

Adam Cole says Bryan Danielson was helpful to him on his road to recovery.

Adam Cole recently returned to action after spending nine months away from the wrestling ring due to injury. During this time, Cole says that he struggled even traveling, and his future as a wrestler was uncertain. Bryan Danielson has been in a similar position. In 2015 Bryan Danielson had to retire for three years, as his concussion history and his symptoms following concussions became too severe to allow him to compete.

During a recent interview on Good Karma Wrestling, Cole revealed that Bryan Danielson was one of the individuals that helped him along his road to recovery, reaching out to him in his time of need.

"When I talk about the people that were incredibly helpful, Bryan Danielson absolutely was one of them. Considering what he went through and on top of that, he reached out, which I thought was so kind and so thoughtful of him because he understood in a lot of ways what I was going through. Bryan was incredibly resourceful and very, very helpful to me in my recovery process.”

Adam's longtime girlfriend, Britt Baker, was also interviewed, and she says that watching Adam's return match against Daniel Garcia was terrifying for her.

“I was terrified, I was watching in the back on one of the screens with the Young Bucks, and we were kind of all holding our breath every time he hit the mat, like, 'Oh my gosh, is he going to be ok? Is he going to be ok?' It’s scary. It really is because when you remember, professional wrestling is inches away from something terrible happening or something going terribly wrong. With his injury, you just realize how precious it is and how precious life is, and it puts everything into perspective.”

Adam and Britt's journies on-camera are colliding as a recent partnership of the Jericho appreciation society and The Outcasts left both Adam Cole and Britt Baker hurting on the April 19 episode of AEW Dynamite.
