Adam Cole Still Bitter Over Loss To Kyle O'Reilly; Christopher Daniels 'Still Has Work To Do' In AEW

Christopher Daniels returns to the place where he felt most broken. Meanwhile, The Young Bucks continue to try and drive a wedge of uncertainty between the former Undisputed ERA.

AEW is headed towards a new era on the TBS network but there are still some old scores to settle as is evident by the latest episode of Being The Elite.

Last week, Kyle O'Reilly made his debut and despite hostilities with Adam Cole dating back to their final days in WWE together, Kyle and Adam agreed to get back on the same page and make an effort at taking over AEW in the same way that they did in NXT.

Matt and Nick Jackson were noticeably nervous about this and when the opportunity presented itself after Kyle O'Reilly accidentally hit Adam Cole while the former Undisputed era was in trios action on December 29’s AEW Dynamite, Matt and Nick Jackson came running to the defense of Adam Cole and the show went off the air with them accusing Kyle O'Reilly of hitting Adam on purpose as an effort to strengthen their bond with Adam and seemingly weaken any chance of Kyle and Adam being 100% on the same page.

In a follow-up to that segment on being the elite, Adam continued to insist that he could trust Kyle O'Reilly but Matt and Nick Jackson continued to further hostilities and questioned whether or not Kyle could actually be trusted. Cameraman Brandon Cutler really struck a nerve when he brought up the final encounter between Kyle and Adam in NXT, a Three Stages of Hell match at NXT TakeOver 36.

At the very end of the episode, Christopher Daniels made his return, complete with an homage to The Undertaker. The last time Christopher Daniels was featured in the very spot where he made his presence felt on this week's episode of BTE, he was crying while contemplating retirement. Learn more here.

Christopher Daniels has yet to wrestle on AEW TV since losing a Tag Team Championship match to Matt and Nick Jackson. He has continued to compete elsewhere, however.
