Wednesday's episode of NXT will feature the final appearances of two top stars in what is being billed as a double main event.
First, Adam Cole will take on EC3 in singles competition. EC3 got the better of Cole on the Oct. 24 episode of NXT. Following the bout, Undisputed ERA attacked EC3 and injured his leg. EC3 got a measure of revenge on the Dec. 12 episode when he defeated Undisputed ERA member Bobby Fish. Undisputed ERA once again tried to put EC3 on the shelf, but he was saved by Heavy Machinery.
The other main event will pit Nikki Cross against Bianca Belair. Belair and Cross have met twice on previous episodes of NXT. They battled to a double countout on the Sept. 9 edition of the show and went to a no contest on the Oct. 17 episode.
NXT is billing the double main event as the final appearances of Cross and EC3 as both superstars was main roster bound. Cross has already made her debut on SmackDown and continues to work SmackDown live events. EC3 worked in a dark match prior to Raw on Monday
