On the December 16 episode of AEW Collision, Adam Copeland issued a challenge to Christian Cage to meet him in a No DQ match at AEW Worlds Ends.

Christian defeated Copeland on the December 6 episode of AEW Dynamite, successfully retaining the AEW TNT Championship. Christian won the match after Nick Wayne's mom hit Copeland with the TNT Title and then Christian stomped Copeland's head onto the title while the referee was down.

The bout has not been made official as of this writing.
