Adam Copeland Is Not Sure If He Wants Retirement Tour, But Wants Final Match To Be In Toronto

Adam Copeland is not eyeing a retirement tour, but knows he wants his final match to be in his hometown.

At the age of 51 years old, Adam Copeland is in the midst of his 33rd year as a pro wrestler. He’s contracted to All Elite Wrestling and is scheduled to team with Christian Cage at AEW All Out to face FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler).

Copeland is making the media rounds ahead of the pay-per-view, which is taking place in his hometown of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

One of the outlets he chatted with was the Toronto Sun. As the conversation moved along, Copeland was asked about what his retirement road could look like. He stated that he is not focused on whether he’ll have a retirement tour or not, but he knows he wants his final match to be in Toronto.

“I honestly don’t know (how I want my retirement road to pan out). I have the luxury, I guess, of having one retirement under my belt, and that was a very emotional one… it was an amazing send-off, right? So, this one, I’m not that concerned with how it goes. Would I like for it to be in Toronto? Yeah. I think that would be fitting to try and do it as close as I could to the place that I started it which is Monarch Park. I think a plane crashed there the other day or something. But, it’d be nice to end it in Toronto. Beyond that, I haven’t put a whole lot of thought into it. That would be my only hope; would be that it’s in Toronto.”

Copeland was able to have his final WWE match in Toronto. He bested Sheamus on an episode of SmackDown at Scotiabank Arena. Two months later, he debuted for All Elite Wrestling.
