Adam Copeland On Wrestling In London At AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door: I Plan To Soak It All In, It Could Be The Last Time
Adam Copeland is ready to return to London for a wrestling match for the first time in 15 years.
Adam Copeland, formerly known as Edge in WWE, has wrestled in England on numerous occasions. He will return to England to compete at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. At that event, he will once again tag with Christian Cage to face the team of Killswitch and Kip Sabian. Twenty-four years beforehand, Cope and Christian wrestled each other inside a steel cage for the WWE Intercontinental Championship in Manchester, England, at WWE Rebellion 2001.
Copeland took to Instagram to hype his return to a wrestling ring in England, noting that the last time he was in London was 2010, when he faced Chris Jericho and Jack Swagger during a WWE event. Now, he’s prepared for what could be his last match in London.
The last time I wrestled in London was 2010 against @chrisjerichofozzy and Jake Hagar(Jack Swagger) for the World Heavyweight Championship. I’ve had a long drought here. Tomorrow that all changes when I team up with @christian4peeps for the first time since 2011 at @aew #forbiddendoor2025 vs @thekipsabian and Killswitch. I’ve seen some familiar faces and had some really nice interactions with the folks here this week. It’s good to see you all again. I have to treat every time I perform abroad as the last time I could wrestle in that city. So tomorrow I plan to soak it all in. Bring some loud lungs London. Let’s have some fun.
Originally, Kip Sabian was supposed to team with Nick Wayne. At only 20 years old, Wayne wasn’t even alive when Cope and Christian Cage wrestled for the WWE Intercontinental Championship at the aforementioned event in England. Fans can learn more about the injury that sidelined Wayne here.
