The Blackpool Combat Club is horny for MMA, according to Hangman Page.
Page and Jon Moxley have been feuding for a number of weeks, as Hangman went down with a concussion when he challenged Moxley for the AEW World Championship on the October 18 episode of AEW Dynamite. Page returned on the November 30 episode and immediately targeted Moxley. Since then, the two rivals have brawled on a number of occasions. Moxley challenged Page to face him on the January 11 episode of AEW Dynamite, but Page hadn't officially been cleared ahead of the show.
On the January 6 episode of AEW Rampage, Page confirmed that he has been cleared to compete, and he vowed to get revenge on Moxley. He made it clear that, for the first time in AEW history, he's going to make sure Moxley gets his "ass handed to him", and while Hangman couldn't remember their first match, he promised to make sure that wouldn't be the case for Moxley.
"Here they are. These are the papers you needed to clear me for this Wednesday’s Dynamite, right? To be honest, though it’s good news, I was starting really not to care what they said. Because Moxley, if I couldn’t knock you out cold in the ring, I was gonna beat your ass in the parking lot. Because this is not the same sad, mopey Hangman sob story that you want it to be. This is a story about how Jon Moxley, after three-and-a-half years, finally got his ass handed to him. The difference between what happened to me and what’s going to happen to you is that I want you to remember every single godforsaken second of it. If you can’t, in do my damndest to make sure that you do," Page said.
Page continued by saying he'd make sure that Moxley could watch footage of the beating he's going to get, whether that meant putting it on a billboard or sending it to the former champion on a VHS tape. He also noted that the Blackpool Combat Club (Moxley, Bryan Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta) could watch the match together because he knows they're horny for MMA. Hangman then stated that, at the end of their match, he'll be wiping the blood off his hands to make sure he doesn't catch something.
"I will put a clip of it on my entrance video, I will buy a billboard in Hollywood and play it on loop. I’ll burn you a copy on VHS and mail it to your house so you can watch it in your dirty basement, you and the rest of the Blackpool Combat Club, getting horny watching MMA. You think that I’m not serious? You think that I’m kidding? If you think that I can’t stand toe to toe with you in the ring this Wednesday, then you’re right. Because the only place I’ll be standing at the end of the night is with my toes on your skull, wiping your blood off my hands to make sure I don’t catch something. Mox, I’ll see you [on Wednesday]," Page said.
