Adam Page Defeats Jon Moxley To Retain AEW World Title On AEW Dynamite; Darby Allin, Marina Shafir, More Involved

Cowboy shit lives on.

Just weeks after their epic clash at AEW All In Texas, ‘Hangman’ Adam Page and Jon Moxley met once again on the July 30 edition of AEW Dynamite, facing off in a match for the AEW World Championship. The stipulation was a bit of a rarity for Moxley, as everyone was banned from ringside.

Things got really heated near the end of the match, as referee Paul Turner was accidentally taken out after Page planted Moxley with his Deadeye finishing maneuver. Marina Shafir took advantage of the moment, sneaking to ringside and passing the AEW World Championship to Moxley, who proceeded to nail Page with the belt.

Turner, barely conscious, made the count but Page kicked out at the last moment. Security escorted Shafir, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta to the back, but not before Darby Allin dove from a balcony and took everyone out.

Page proceeded to reverse Moxley’s piledriver attempt into another Deadeye. After another Buckshot Lariat, Page pinned Moxley to retain the belt.
