Born in the UK, Street began training in the 1950s and went on to become one of the most charismatic wrestlers of all-time, taking the name "Exotic" Adrian. Street spent his early career wrestling internationally in the UK, Germany, Mexico, and Canada. He came to the US in 1981, competing at territories in Florida, Memphis, and Houston before finding a home at Continental Championship Wrestling.

His attire included pastels, glitter make up and clipping his bleached hair into mini-pigtails. In the ring, he would kiss opponents to escape being pinned down and to put make up on his opponents when they were down. He created the ring gear worn by Mick Foley as Dude Love during his feud with Steve Austin

Street had his life documented in a WWE Network documentary.
