AEW And NXT Viewership, Ratings Rise On 1/20

Both AEW and NXT saw their respective viewership numbers rise on January 20th..

According to PWTorch, Dynamite this week accumulated 854,000 viewers, up from last week's 762,000. This number was more nearly 200,000 more than NXT’s accumulated 659,000. For NXT, this number is up from last week’s 551,000.

In the 18-49 demographic, AEW drew a .36 up from the .30 last week. NXT saw an increase from a .14.to .15.

NXT presented more of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and a Fight Pit between Timothy Thatcher and Tommaso Ciampa.

Over on AEW, the Inner Circle fought it out in the main event. Gallows and Anderson appeared and were announced for a tag match with Kenny Omega in two weeks at AEW Beach Break.

Outside of wrestling, the inauguration of Joe Biden was dominating the news cycle, which would have dominated the cable news channels.
