It's Wednesday, April 5, 2023, and you know what that means!

It's time to break down the April 5 episode of AEW Dynamite on TBS.

WWE Speed Championship #1 Contender's Tournament To Begin On 5/8 WWE Speed

This episode will feature four incredible Championship matches, the latest major announcement from Tony Khan, and more.

Here's everything you need to know before the latest AEW Dynamite on TBS.

Four Massive Championship Matches

As AEW once again returns to Long Island, there are four Championship matches on this upcoming episode of AEW Dynamite. All four matches feature a variety of stakes and varying levels of intensity, but one thing is for sure, it is as much of a can't-miss episode of television as can be.

FTR's Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler will fight for their very livelihood and everything they believe in as they look to become two-time AEW World Tag Team Champions against the current bane of their existence, Austin & Colten Gunn. Should FTR lose, they will officially leave AEW. As their contractual status has been a major talking point in recent weeks and months, Dax Harwood promises that regardless of how this match ends, the fans of pro wrestling will be entertained.

Also taking place tonight, HOOK puts his FTW Title on the line against Ethan Page. Page believes that he is fighting for the honor of Stokely Hathaway but HOOK is simply looking to add another name to his growing list of victims.

AEW Originals Chuck Taylor, Trent Beretta, and Orange Cassidy look to add gold to their stable as they challenge The House of Black for the AEW World Trios Championship. Cassidy is used to defending gold on TV but this time around, he may get to add another belt to his collection.

The last of the championship matches set for Dynamite sees Jamie Hayter defending the women's world championship against the inaugural champion, Riho. In recent weeks, these women have been on both sides of the same battle but on April 5, they will battle another.

Ricky Starks vs. Juice Robinson

In one of the top grudge matches set for the next episode of AEW Dynamite, Juice Robinson will take on Ricky Starks. This issue stems back from an attack perpetrated by Robinson after Starks was trying to celebrate a massive victory over Chris Jericho at AEW Revolution 2023. On April 5, Starks is driven by one of the most powerful motivators in history, revenge. On the flip side, the ego of Robinson is looking to prove that he is as much of a star as he says he is.

When these men clash on Long Island, only one will be able to pick up the first victory in the rivalry. We will find out who that is on April 5, 2023.

MJF Day

Listen up, poors.

Maxwell Jacob Friedman is back on Long Island and now, he is also the AEW World Champion. In the build-up to the April 5 AEW Dynamite, MJF has been given a key to the city and fans have been given a strict code of conduct leading into the show.

How Maxwell Jacob Friedman will choose to grace his hometown crowd with his presence remains to be seen, but Long Island's favorite son has returned home.

Sammy Guevara Takes On Komander In A Highly-Anticipated Contest

In a match that may very well steal the show, Sammy Guevara will take on Komander Komander is coming off of a highly-contested bout with El Hijo del Vikingo. Sammy, on the other hand, is looking to find a way to prove that he deserves to challenge Maxwell Jacob Friedman for the AEW World Championship. A win tonight can go a long way in helping make his case.

The Acclaimed Make A Decision

The Acclaimed, Anthony Bowens and Max Caster will make a decision tonight whether they want to join the Jericho Appreciation Society. Just last week, Matt Menard and Angelo Parker took the acclaimed out for a night on the town at the expense of Chris Jericho.

The Jericho Appreciation society Believes The Acclaimed has something to offer their Sports entertainment clique. On the next episode of Dynamite, Bowens & Caster make their choice and if it's not one that Chris Jericho approves of, they will be targets of Le Champion.

The Blackpool Combat Club Speaks Out

Just 7 days after Bryan Danielson betrayed Kenny Omega and brought the Blackpool Combat Club back to full strength, now someone has to step up to try and stop them. Until then, we will hear from the group on April 5.

Tony Khan's Major Announcement

Hyperbole be damned, Tony Khan says that tonight he will announce one of the most important things he's ever announced in AEW. We will have more information on that announcement as more is known.
