AEW Dynamite Spoilers For 8/20

All Elite Wrestling taped the August 20th episode of AEW Dynamite earlier in the afternoon at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland.

AEW Dynamite Spoilers (Taped on 8/20)

• Will Ospreay explains that he wasn’t cleared by doctors, which is why he wanted to do a Lights Out Steel Cage match as it is unsanctioned. Ospreay was confronted by Jon Moxley and the Death Riders. They attacked, but Hiroshi Tanahashi made the save.
• Hiroshi Tanahashi & JetSpeed (Kevin Knight & Mike Bailey) def. The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, & Wheeler Yuta)
• A brawl erupts after the match with Bullet Club War Dogs (Robbie X, Drilla Moloney, & Clark Connors) and The Opps (Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs, & Katsuyori Shibata) getting involved. The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) super kick Ospreay. Darby Allin pops out of a body bag and ends up hitting a coffin drop from the balcony.
• Cope admitted that Christian Cage is an asshole, but “he’s my asshole.” Christian said he is perfect and didn’t need to change. He said that this was a reunion out of necessity. Kip Sabian and Mother Wayne came out and said Christian is pathetic. Nick Wayne, via video, announces he has a broken foot and won’t be at Forbidden Door. Wayne said that he is always one step ahead, leading to the return of Luchasaurus. Luchasaurus laid out Christian and Cope.
• Mark Briscoe says he’s going to kill MJF.
• MJF meets with Ricochet and the Gates of Agony (Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona) to form an alliance against Briscoe.
• AEW Tag Team Title Eliminator Tournament Final: Brodido (Brody King & Bandido) vs. FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) went to a 30-minute draw.
• Video package for Swerve Strickland vs. Kazuchika Okada
• Hangman Page says MJF jumped him because he’s a coward. MJF appears on the screen with Mark Briscoe tied up. MJF threatens to light Briscoe on fire unless Hangman agrees to his requests. MJF requests the title can change hands on a DQ or countout and that he doesn’t have execute his contract. Hangman agrees, saving Mark.
