AEW German Announcer Günter Zapf Passes Away

RIP Günter Zapf. 

AEW German announcer Günter Zapf has passed away.

Before becoming a broadcaster, Zapf played cornerback for the Munich Cowboys. He was an announcer for WWE from 2002 to 2013. In 2016, he worked for DAZN and Premiere, calling NFL and MLB games. He was also an announcer for Lucha Underground. 

He started with AEW as the promotion found a television home on DMAX.
