AEW Dynamite and NXT saw a nice bump in their viewership numbers for this week, but it was AEW who won out in the end.
According to Showbuzz Daily, the February 5 episode of Dynamite averaged 928,000 viewers, up from last week's 828,000 viewers. It was the most watched episode of Dynamite since January 15 when that show averaged 940,000 viewers and it is now the fourth time in the past six weeks the show averaged more than 900,000 viewers.
NXT on the other hand, averaged 770,000 viewers, which is up from last week's episode that drew 712,000 viewers. This was the most watched episode of NXT in 2020, needing to go all the way back to December 25 to find the last time NXT drew a viewership this high. That December episode drew 831,000 viewers.
In the 18-49 demographic, Dynamite produced a 0.36 rating (best for 11th among original cable telecasts for the day), which is up from the January 29 episode of Dynamite that did a 0.34 rating. NXT drew a 0.22 rating, which is identical to last week's rating. NXT finished 34th in that demographic for the day.
