SEGA and AEW partner up.
On Wednesday's AEW Dynamite, AEW hyped the November 15 street fight between Kenny Omega, Chris Jericho, Paul Wight & Kota Ibushi against The Don Callis Family. In the hype video, footage of Yakuza Like A Dragon: The Man Who Erased His Name was spliced in and Omega referenced the game.
AEW would later promote the game during the broadcast and had an ad on the ring apron.

On November 6, Fightful Select reported, "As mentioned, there is a significant sponsorship involvement planned for the Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega, Paul Wight and Kota Ibushi tag team match. We're told that content was filmed to promote it. We've learned that it is with SEGA."
In September 2022, Omega visited SEGA Studios in Japan and got his character model scanned for Yakuza.
