AEW Pulls Darby Allin & Sammy Guevara From WrestleCon, Reason Why Other AEW Talent Is Still Booked

Darby Allin and Sammy Guevara have been pulled from WrestleCon by AEW.

According to the detailed spreadsheet on the WreslteCon website, AEW canceled the appearances of Allin and Guevara on Feb. 12. It should be noted that on the "Guests" tab on the WrestleCon website, Allin and Guevara are still listed as announced guests with no cancelation information given. Fans need to check out the detailed spreadsheet for further information on all guests.

When reached for comment, WrestleCon confirmed that AEW pulled both talents after they were initially approved. WrestleCon mentioned that they were not contacted directly by AEW, thus were given no reason as to why they canceled the appearances of Allin and Guevara and no replacements were offered. Both men are now booked for The Great Philadelphia Comic Con, which runs the same weekend as WrestleCon.

We have also contacted AEW regarding the situation, but have not received a response.

WrestleCon noted that the contracts with Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho are with Barry Bloom Talent Agency and that supersedes AEW, so they will appear at the event. Jon Moxley was booked through PrimeTime Appearances. Other AEW talents scheduled to appear at WrestleCon include Orange Cassidy, Nyla Rose, and Kris Statlander, all of whom were cleared by AEW to appear.
