AEW Rampage Viewership Sees Big Drop On 8/27/21, One Week After CM Punk Debut

AEW Rampage dropped following the big CM Punk debut.

According to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, AEW Rampage on August 27 scored 722,000 viewers. This number is down from the 1.129 million viewers the show scored last week, which featured the highly anticipated, but not officially announced, debut of CM Punk.

The viewership number is in line with the premiere episode on August 13, which was 740,000 viewers.

Friday's episode scored a 0.34 rating (434,000 viewers) in the 18 to 49 demographic, which is down from last week (0.53 rating (692,000 viewers)), but up from the premiere ( 0.31 rating (396,000 viewers)) in the demographic.

AEW Rampage did top the night on cable.

On YouTube, the post-match promo with CM Punk and Christian Cage has 2.2 million views. The match featuring Christian Cage & Frankie Kazarian vs. Kenny Omega & Brandon Cutler has 519,000 views.
