Sting last wrestled at the Greensboro Coliseum in December 2021 for AEW, teaming with Darby Allin & CM Punk to defeat The Pinnacle (Cash Wheeler, Dax Harwood & MJF).

Sting’s most famous Greensboro match was a 45-minute time limit draw against Ric Flair for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship at the first-ever Clash of the Champions in 1988. Sting also wrestled Lex Luger at the Greensboro Coliseum in a U.S. Title match in 1989. His first match in Greensboro took place in 1987.

An opponent for Sting's last match has yet to be announced.
