The seventh competitor for the MLW Opera Cup has been announced.
PWInsider confirmed that Lee Moriarty has joined the MLW Opera Cup 2021. The MLW Opera Cup begins on October 2 at MLW Fightland.
Moriarty joins Bobby Fish, Tom Lawlor, Matt Cross, Davey Richards, TJP, and Calvin Tankman in the tournament. One more competitor is set to be announced.
Moriarty was signed by AEW on September 8 after his taped AEW Dark: Elevation match against Daniel Garcia. The match aired on Monday's AEW Dark: Elevation. He competed at Sunday's ROH Death Before Dishonor event, teaming with John Walter & LSG to take on VLNCE UNLTD (Chris Dickinson, Homicide & Tony Deppen).
Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Lawlor won previous incarnations of the MLW Opera Cup.
MLW Fightland will be headlined by the title vs. title match between Jacob Fatu and Alex Hammerstone.
