AEW World Championship No. 1 Contender's Match Taking Place On 1/22 Dynamite

Tonight's AEW Bash at the Beach special will feature not one, but two matches that will have championship implications for Chris Jericho's world title.

During the AEW Pre Dynamite live stream that recently took place, it was revealed that the winner of PAC vs. Darby Allin and Jon Moxley vs. Sammy Guevara will face off in a match to determine the No. 1 contender to the AEW World Championship. The winners of both matches will face off on the January 22 episode of Dynamite, which will take place at Jericho’s Rock ‘N’ Wrestling Rager at Sea.

This impromptu four-man tournament will feature three of AEW's top five ranked male singles wrestlers after Guevara came in at No. 5 on today's updated official AEW rankings. Guevara is the only wrestler in the top five to have two matches in 2020. Moxley has been the top-ranked contender for Jericho's champion for multiple weeks and recently rejected Jericho's offer to join The Inner Circle.

Allin once challenged for Jericho's AEW Championship on Dynamite last year, but was unsuccessful in getting the win. Allin is coming off a win over Brandon Cutler on the January 14 edition of AEW Dark.

Here are the matches that have been confirmed for tonight's Bash at the Beach.
