AEW World Tag Title Tournament Announced As Starting On 3/16 AEW Collision

AEW's tournament to crown the next AEW World Tag Team Champions was announced as beginning on March 16.

Following the retirement of Sting which mandates him and Darby Allin vacating the AEW Tag Team Titles, a tournament was announced. Initially, Tony Khan announced that this would be a multi-bracket tournament.

Later, The Young Bucks, Orange Cassidy & Trent Beretta confirmed their involvement in the Tag Team Championship tournament. On the March 9 AEW Collision, FTR also officially declared for the tournament with Tony Schiavone announcing that the tournament would begin one week from that evening.

FTR would be interrupted by The Infantry (Carlie Bravo & Shawn Dean) who also alluded to potentially being in the tournament.
