AJ Lee hasn't wrestled in over four years, but won't rule it out again even though she's not expecting it.
The former Diva's champion last appeared in the ring in 2015, leaving WWE for a career in writing. At only 32 years old, this leads to many fans hoping for a potential return. She opened up on her thoughts in regards to that in a new interview with Kristine Leahy for Fair Game.
“Oh my gosh, I’d say never say never, because every time I’ve said ‘never’ in my life, I ended up doing the thing. I’m like, ‘I’m never going to date a wrestler... I’m never going to date another wrestler.’ Then it keeps going, and I married one! But, I say that I don’t know what the future holds -- to not hold your breath. But never say never," said AJ.
In somewhat of a parallel, AJ's close friend Kaitlyn spent four years out of the ring herself, but made a 2018 return on the indepenedent circuit. Later, she'd enter the WWE Mae Young Classic, which have served as her most recent matches.
