AJ Lee Return Details
Fightful Select has more details on AJ Lee making her WWE return.
WWE sources have indicated that AJ Lee is set to return to the ring, as reiterated on WOL.
WWE sources also tell Fightful Select that most in the company consider it a forgone conclusion that she will be announced or be at this Friday’s Smackdown.
Lee has not wrestled since March 2015 when she retired from in-ring competition. She has stayed busy with other projects, including creating comics GLOW vs. The Babyface and Day of the Dead Girl with Aimee Garcia.
Lee is married to CM Punk, who is feuding with Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch on WWE TV. During the WWE Clash in Paris post-show, Big E referenced AJ Lee possibly returning after Lynch cost Punk the WWE World Heavyweight Title by low-blowing him in a four-way match, helping Rollins retain the title.
The crowd on Monday’s WWE Raw chanted for Lee during an in-ring segment with Lynch and Punk.
