AJ Styles Comments On CM Punk Moving From WWE Raw To WWE SmackDown

AJ Styles comments on CM Punk moving from Raw to Friday Night SmackDown.
On the July 6 edition of Raw, fans saw CM Punk’s return for the first time since the Raw after WrestleMania. The show took place in Chicago, where Punk replaced Cody Rhodes in the Undisputed WWE Title match against Sami Zayn. Punk would leave the show as the new champion and later move to SmackDown.
Speaking on The Phenomenally Retro Podcast, Tony Giles noted that Punk moving to SmackDown led to a higher rating and said this move has rejuvenated the show. Then, Styles shared his thoughts on the same.
“This just goes to show the star power of CM Punk, and that’s the reason why they put the championship on him. He brings in a crowd it’s just what he does. He gets on that mic, and dude, he just shreds. He’s just that good. In the WWE, if you can’t cut a promo, you’re in trouble if you want to be successful. Not many people do it as well as Punk when it comes to the mic.”
Elsewhere in the podcast, Styles shared his thoughts on WWE SummerSlam’s ticket sales. Fans can read his full comment here.
