AJ Styles On New Day And Motor City Machine Guns’ WWE Departures: ‘I Don’t Know If It Was The Smartest Decision Letting Those Two Tag Teams Go’

AJ Styles doesn’t think letting New Day and Motor City Machine Guns go was the smartest decision.

In April, Motor City Machine Guns departed WWE. Some days later, The New Day’s departure was also announced. While MCMG has now landed in AEW, New Day hasn’t signed with any promotion yet.

Speaking on The AJ Styles Show, the wrestler talked about New Day and Motor City Machine Guns’ WWE departures.

“I have so much respect for these two tag teams and know what they’re capable of. I don’t know if it was the smartest decision letting those two tag teams go. I wouldn’t bet that it was a smart decision. I am biased. Two guys that I’ve known forever in Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin. Then Austin Creed (Xavier Woods), who I’ve literally known for over two decades, we go way back, and Kofi’s such an awesome dude”.
