AJ Styles On Other Wrestlers Stealing His Moves: Thank You For Doing That, It Means I’ve Impacted The Wrestling World

AJ Styles doesn’t care if people copy his moves.
Styles is largely considered to be one of the most influential wrestlers of his entire generation, as younger wrestlers will often take bits and pieces from him to implement into their own matches.
As it turns out, Styles doesn’t mind. Speaking with the No Contest Wrestling Podcast, Styles explained his mindset on the situation.
“That’s cool. If guys are doing my moves, if girls are doing my moves, that’s awesome. I want them too. That just means that I’ve made an impact in the business where people have watched AJ Styles and go, ‘Freak, I’d like to try that. Let’s see if I can do that.’ I did the same thing, I was trying shooting star presses and 450s and all kinds of stuff like that because I saw other guys do it. If someone does the Styles Clash, I don’t care. Thank you for doing it, it means it’s impacted the wrestling world and that’s okay, I like that.”
Elsewhere in the match, Styles said that he wants to face CM Punk in a singles match before he retires. Check out his full comments here.
