AJ Styles Returns To WWE Raw, Wins Gauntlet Match To Qualify For Money In The Bank Ladder Match

AJ Styles is back on Raw and heading to Money In The Bank.

In his first WWE appearance after losing to The Undertaker in a Boneyard Match at WrestleMania 36, Styles returned on Raw tonight to participate in the Last Chance Gauntlet Match. Styles ended up winning the match, last eliminating Humberto Carrillo.

The match began with Bobby Lashley taking on Titus O'Neil and it quickly ended when he hit O'Neil with a spear. Lashley would go on to pick up wins against Akira Tozawa and then Shelton Benjamin in quick fashion, also winning with the spear.

Then, Lashley ran into trouble with his match against Carrillo. However, the issues weren't with Carrillo, but with the referee. Lashley put his hands on the referee, which prompted the referee to disqualify him. Angel Garza came out to replace Lashley and wrestle Carrillo.

Carrillo was able to defeat his cousin, but still had to contend with Austin Theory, who is aligned with both Garza and Andrade. Carrillo managed to sneak in the win, but was unable to do so against the returning Styles. In the end, Styles forced Carrillo to submit due to the calf crusher.

The six-man field for the match is complete as he will join Daniel Bryan, Otis, Aleister Black, Rey Mysterio and King Corbin. Money In The Bank will take place on May 10 and Fightful will have live coverage of the event.
