AJ Styles Reveals Advice Steve Austin Gave To Him About His Jacket

AJ Styles made his mark across the wrestling world before he finally entered WWE in 2016. Given his success in TNA/IMPACT Wrestling and NJPW, Styles' supporters figured AJ would find success in WWE if given the opportunity.

The opportunities were given and AJ has cemented himself as one of the lead guys in the promotion over the past five years.

But Steve Austin had a minor complaint about AJ's presentation upon his arrival.

"One of the things [Austin] told me was, 'Your jacket, almost too much going on.' Within weeks, it was changed and I don't think he was wrong in what he was saying. Less is more. Just little things that help you get to where you're at today," AJ said on A Couple in with Cody Jinks.

AJ has accomplished just about everything there is to accomplish in WWE, but has yet to hold Tag Team gold. He'll get that opportunity at WrestleMania 37 when he teams with Omos to take on The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) for the Raw Tag Team Titles.

Elsewhere during the interview, Styles discussed his original plans for his Twitch channel before he had to shut it down. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
