WrestleMania 33 could have a celebrity matchup with former NBA champion Shaquille O'Neal and Big Show possibly squaring off. Now other WWE stars, like AJ Styles, are talking about other possible wrestling matches involving celebrities.
Styles recently appeared on 105.3 THE FAN Dallas/Ft. Worth and spoke on the possibility of The Rock and actor Vin Diesel squaring off in the squared circle due to the real life beef they had during filming of Fast 8.
"That sounds like the craziest matchup ever… so we'll probably do it," Styles said.
This wouldn’t be the first time that celebrities had a shot of going up against wrestling stars. The two most recent examples in WWE were Arrow actor Stephen Amell tagging with Neville in SummerSlam 2015 against King Barrett and Stardust as well as O’Neal competing in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royale at WrestleMania 32 which created the rumors of a Big Show/Shaq WrestleMania match.
Styles then proceeded to talk about which actors he would like to face off and said that he wants to go up against him.
"Maybe... since we're talking about actors, can we bring in Mark Wahlberg? I kinda want to matchup with this guy and see where I'm at," Styles said. "I don't know, that's what I want to find out... I don't know man, Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch was a pretty big deal back in the day, I was a fan."
