AJ Styles Says WWE Will Be Dumb If They Don’t Capitalize On Chad Gable’s Popularity
AJ Styles says Chad Gable is a bigger star today than he’s ever been.
At AAA Noche de Los Grandes, the Original El Grande Americano was unmasked as Chad Gable. After that, Gable returned to WWE SmackDown as well on the 6/5 edition of the show.
Speaking on The Phenomenally Retro Podcast, AJ Styles was discussing the story between the two El Grande Americanos. The Phenomenal One says that Gable has become a bigger star than ever before, and he wants WWE to capitalize on his popularity.
“I think he’s a bigger superstar than he’s ever been at this very moment. If we don’t capitalize, and I say we because I’m part of WWE, we don’t capitalize on this, we’re dumb. We’re dummies.”
Styles also believes that Gable can be a heavyweight champion.
“He can be heavyweight champion. He’s a legit freaking pro wrestler that there’s no way somebody in the crowd is going, ‘I think I can take freaking Chad Cable.’ Dude, legit, he will drop you on your head and there’s nothing you can do about it. He will scoop you up and drop you. This guy is legit. Everything about him, his look, ability, everything about him is a scary if you know anything about collegiate wrestling or pro wrestling. This guy can take care of business. Yeah no, he’s legit.”
