AJ Styles Successfully Defends WWE Championship In "Dream Match" At WrestleMania 34

AJ Styles is still WWE Champion. 

In their first meeting in a WWE ring, AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura wrestled for Styles' WWE Championship at WrestleMania 34. Nakamura earned his shot at the championship when he won the Royal Rumble match. Styles won the match after delivering a Styles Clash.

The following is an excerpt from the Fightful Wrestling live coverage of WrestleMania 34 provided by David Tees

...Styles then hits Nakamura with a Phenomenal Forearm for a near fall. Styles then goes for a springboard 450 splash and Nakamura gets his knees up before getting a roll up for a near fall, Nakamura and Styles have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring. Styles eventually catches Nakamura with a Pele Kick, Nakamura recovers to land a knee strike to the back of Styles neck for a near fall. Nakamura goes after Styles by nailing him with some more knee strikes, Nakamura follows that up with a reverse exploder on Styles. Nakamura goes for the running knee strike and Styles counters with a Styles Clash for the three count.

Winner: AJ Styles, still the WWE Champion

After the match, Nakamura acted respectful towards Styles to only deliver a low blow and attack him. He would stomp AJ Styles then delivered a Kinshasa outside of the ring.  

AJ Styles has held the WWE Championship since defeating Jinder Mahal on a November episode of Smackdown. This is his second reign as WWE Champion.
