AJ Styles Would Give The Undertaker An Intercontinental Title Match If It Gets Him Back In The Ring

The Undertaker has no desire to step back in the ring following his Boneyard Match against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36. But what if he could win a title that has alluded him in his WWE career?

Speaking to Vincente Beltran of Entrevista, AJ Styles discussed the possibility of facing Undertaker one more time with the Intercontinental Title on the line.

Pete Dunne: AJ Styles Was A Big Inspiration On Me, I Want To Face Him In A Singles Match

"If I thought that would get him in the ring with me, in front of thousands of people, I would definitely put up the Intercontinental Championship. Will that happen? Would he take the bait? Probably not. If he's decided that he's done, I respect that. He's definitely done enough in his career to say 'that's it, I'm done.' Trust me, I know what it's like. I can't imagine doing what he's done for so long. The one thing he's earned is the right to call it quits on his own terms, but I would definitely offer him the opportunity," said AJ.

The Undertaker hasn't used the word "retirement" when discussing his in-ring future and has left the door slightly open if Vince McMahon ever needs him. As for Styles, though he's been wrestling for over two decades, he believes that he has years left in the tank.

"I'm going to take this body to the limit," he said. "I enjoy what I do, I respect what I do and take pride in everything that happens in the ring. I want to do it as long as my body and my brain allow me to. A lot of times, I feel like my body and brain argue with each other. My brain is telling me that I can do it, but my body is saying 'don't even try.' When they both come together and say 'it's a good time to hang it up,' then we'll do that. When is that? It's something Undertaker talked about, it's something you battle with on a daily basis because you love what you do."

Styles has previously stated that his latest WWE contract will be his last and that he'll retire in WWE. His current deal reportedly expires in 2024.
