AJ Styles Reflects On Entering His Ninth Year As A WWE Superstar

AJ Styles says he felt at home quickly and WWE and it has remained that way ever since.

As AJ Styles enters his ninth year in WWE, he's reflecting on his debut at the 2016 Royal Rumble event. Styles was the number three entrant in the match following him spending more than a decade in TNA Wrestling and a strong number of years in New Japan Pro Wrestling and Ring of Honor as the leader of Bullet Club.

AJ Styles told Z100's Josh Martinez on Superstar Crossover that he has felt at home at WWE since he got there despite it once seeming highly unlikely that he would ever go to WWE.

"It's it doesn't feel like it's been [as long as it has]. Going on my ninth year, I kind of fit right in. As soon as I got here and I got established a little bit, I fit right in. You don't see that too often. There's a lot of guys that I knew as I was coming into WWE, but there was a lot of guys that I didn't, It felt like I was right at home once I got started. It's been a great place to be ever since."

AJ Styles has since won almost every Championship WWE has to offer. He has never been a WWE Undisputed Champion and he will look to accomplish that at the 2024 WWE Royal Rumble event when he challenges Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. However, he also has to contend with LA Knight and Randy Orton as the match will be a Fatal 4-Way.

Fightful will have live coverage of the WWE Royal Rumble as it airs on January 27.
