The Prince of Saudi Arabia is being accused by Al Qaeda of exposing citizens to corruption.
According to the Independent, Prince Mohammed bin Salman has been criticized by Al Qaeda for his push for a more "moderate Islam" by opening up forms of entertaining in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. A group of Yemeni Al Qaeda members say he has exposed Muslims to influence from the west.
Among the complaints was the presence of WWE in April at the Greatest Royal Rumble. The complaints were that the wrestlers were "nonbelievers" who "exposed their privates" and some of the wrestlers having tattoos of the cross or images on their tights also offended the Al Qaeda group.
On the western front, some fans were upset that female wrestlers were not allowed to wrestle. But, a video of female wrestlers was enough to force an apology from the Saudi Arabian General Sports Authority.
The politics of the region also reared it's head when Ariya Daivari and Shawn Daivari were sent death threats after their portrayal of Irani Nationalist.
WWE signed a ten year contract with the government of Saudi Arabia and WWE executives like Triple H have said the company wants to assist the progress being attempted by Prince Salman.
