Alan Angels is set to compete in the 2026 wXw 16 Carat Gold Tournament, replacing Ricky Sosa at the beginning of next month.
On February 27th, wXw would take to social media to announce that Ricky Sosa would be withdrawing from their yearly 16 Carat Gold tournament on March 6th and March 7th due to a ‘last minute major career opportunity,’ which as Fightful Select reported, is an appearance with TNA at their Atlanta, Georgia tapings at the beginning of next month. Now, wXw have announced their replacement for Sosa.
In a new announcement on February 28th, former AEW talent Alan Angels was announced as Ricky Sosa’s replacement, marking a return to the promotion for Angels after competing in the promotions 25th Anniversary tour last year.
