Alberto El Patron Open To Returning To Global Force Wrestling

Global Force Wrestling may be in peril, but Alberto El Patron doesn't seem turned off by the group even after being stripped of the GFW Global Title.

El Patron, while speaking of his efforts to help Hurricane Harvey relief, spoke to Justin Barrasso and said that he was more than willing to return to GFW. He was suspended and stripped of his championship after one too many incidents involving himself and fiancee Paige came to light.

"I've been in touch with Global Force Wrestling, and we're working to bring back Alberto El Patron to the company. We're working to find something that will please the fans.

At the end of the day, I work for the fans; they are the ones I work to please. I am going to put all my heart, all my passion into making this work. I am completely focused on where I want to take the company in November, and I promise to make the company great again, and Alberto is going to be on top again."

"My company Impact and I have come to an agreement that it's best for both parties if I be stripped from the championships," El Patron wrote in an Instagram post on August 14th. "I came up with the suggestion just to show that Impact doesn't have favorites and everyone gets treated the same. Apologies to fans and my brothers and sisters in the company, even though I came out all clear and there was no wrongdoing, it was still a scandal. So thanks for your support and let's move forward more positively. One day I hope to be your champ again!

Global Force Wrestling is in an unusual position yet again. Several names are leaving the company, Jeff Jarrett recently took a forced leave of absence, and there are reports that Anthem is interested in selling the company less than a year after buying it themselves.
