Alcohol Stipulation Announced For NJPW KOPW 2021 Final Bout

Whiskey it is.

NJPW announced that Toru Yano and Yoshinobu Kanemaru will be drinking whiskey during their King of Pro Wrestling 2021 match on December 24. 65.8% fans voted for whiskey, Kanemaru's choice, over Yano's choice of sake.

December 24 will see Yoshinobu Kanemaru and Toru Yano face off in the last KOPW 2021 match. The bout will be contested under End of Year Party rules, wherein both participants must drink every two minutes. Other wrestling rules apply, with the ruling that if a drink is not completed within twenty seconds, they will be disqualified.

After 23,224 votes cast worldwide, Yoshinobu Kanemaru’s choice of whiskey as the official beverage took 65.8% of the vote, making it the drink of choice.

This marks the first KOPW fan vote that Toru Yano has lost since the title’s inception in 2020.
