Alec Price Legitimately Did Not Know That MJF Was Going To Offer Him & Jordan Oliver AEW Contracts

The duo is set to make their debuts as AEW contracted talents.

The January 21st edition of AEW Dynamite is emanating from Orlando, Florida, and one of the matches on the bill is a non-title match that’ll see AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) taking on new AEW signees Jordan Oliver and Alec Price.

At Limitless Wrestling’s event on 1/16, AEW World Champion MJF successfully defended the title against Price. Oliver accompanied Price to the ring for the bout. After the match, MJF offered both talents AEW contracts.

While being interviewed by Justin Barrasso of Undisputed, Price said he legitimately did not know that MJF would be offering him and Oliver contracts.

“I had no idea what was going on until MJF cut the promo in the ring. It made me bawl. I cried my eyes out.”

Price would go on to state that he is going to miss being on the independent scene at the rate he was at before being signed to a full-time deal.

“I hope that everyone who has been along with me for the ride stays along with me for the ride. I’m doing this for everyone that wants to change their life, help their family, and follow their dreams. I’m going to miss the indies, especially my home promotions like Beyond, Limitless, Alpha-1, GCW. I’m going to miss wrestling for the fans on the indies. I’m not going to forget them. I’ll always be the same Alec, regardless of whether I’m signed on TV or I am an independent wrestler.”

Ahead of their match against FTR on Dynamite, Price stated that he and Oliver are the best tag team in the world, and they will not waste the opportunity.

“This is our time. Max was part of the last generation of indie talent, then me and Jordan and our generation held the indies strong. Now it’s all about a new challenge. Me and Jordan aren’t going to squander this opportunity. We’re the best tag team in the world, and we’re going to show it.”
