Aleister Black thinks a lot of Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa.
On E & C's Pod of Awesomeness, Aleister Black took time to talk about the two wrestlers who followed him on the NXT Takeover: New Orleans card in Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa. After Black defeated Andrade Almas to become NXT Champion, Gargano and Ciampa faced each other in an unsanctioned match. Black said Gargano goes all out for all of his matches.
"Johnny...He honors his name Johnny Wrestling. That dude is a machine. I know Johnny from the independent scene and he was always a stand out to me. He was always one of those guys that put in maximum effort, never cutting corners in any match I've seen him do," said Black.
As for Ciampa, Black said the same applies for him and the match between the two rivals was a great exhibition in storytelling.
"If you look back at what (Gargano and Ciampa) did at Takeover...If I would have to give anyone a blueprint of modern day professional wrestling storytelling, I would show them that. That was beautiful," said Black.
By defeating Ciampa, Gargano earned his spot back on the NXT roster. Fightful Wrestling had live coverage and a recapping podcast for NXT Takeover: New Orleans and there is coverage each Wednesday for NXT.
