Aleister Black Speaks About What A WWE Title Win Would Mean For Him: “It Would Mean Recognition Of Something, In A Weird Way, Is Overdue, To An Extent”

Black dives into what a WWE World Title win would mean for him.

Going into the 12/12 Friday Night SmackDown, Aleister Black and Zelina Vega made the media rounds, and one of their stops was The Babyfaces Podcast.

Black was asked what a WWE Championship win would mean for him. He responded by saying, in a ‘weird way,’ it would be recognition of something that is somewhat overdue. Black thinks he’d be a different champion than anyone WWE has had over the last decade.

“I think for myself, it would mean recognition of something, in a weird way, is overdue, to an extent. I think I would be a very, very different champion than something they’ve had over the last, you know, perhaps 10 years, and I know everybody says that of course because, to be honest, it’s a bit of an answer but I truly think that what I present and what I represent and the aesthetic that I bring is something different. I think the approach of the narrative that runs in my head when I look at from the perspective of my character, to how he sees the world, I think would tie in the reign a little bit different, because as much as that the title obviously represents everything that the wrestler wants, I think there’s a hint of cynicism with Aleister, where he kind of straddles along the fourth wall sometimes and I think that would make the title look very, very different. The owner would make the title look very, very different in that regard.”

Black and Vega are scheduled for mixed tag team action on the 12/12 WWE SmackDown. They will be facing The Terror Twins (Rhea Ripley & Damian Priest).
