Alex Windsor Recalls Facing Jamie Hayter For The First Time In 2017

Alex Windsor recalls meeting Jamie Hayter for the first time.

With their chemistry as the Brawling Birds, you would think that Windsor and Hayter have been best friends for decades. Instead, they only met for the first time less than a decade ago.

Speaking with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp for a new interview, Windsor recalled meeting Hayter before their indie match in 2017.

“Honestly, the first time I met Jamie was when we had that first match in the UK, probably down the road from Wembley. I remember it must have been as far back as 2017, I was out injured and I think we were like passing ships in the night. I think I’d been on the scene until about 2017, and then that was when she was sort of coming up. So we never met then. I’ve always said, ‘I love her style. I love how she works. We would have a banger match.’ So she was always like that dream match that I thought, ‘Ah, it may never happen.’ Especially when she got signed, I was sort of back on the scene. So it was just sort of like, ‘Fuck, is it ever gonna happen?’ So when we had that first match, it was our first time meeting, first time we wrestled. We absolutely knocked [it] out the park. It was everything that I would have hoped it would be and more. So Wembley is actually going to be the second time we’ve shared a ring together in the UK. So that’s really special, I think, for us two as a team.”
