Alex Windsor tells people that believe she’s signed to AEW due to Will Ospreay to ‘sit back and watch’.

Windsor signed with All Elite Wrestling earlier this year, and was immediately greeted with some fans suggesting she was signed to the promotion due to her relationship with Ospreay and not her ability in the ring that fans of British wrestling are familiar with. For Windsor, she wants those who suggested that idea to ‘sit back and watch’.

While speaking to The Sun Sport in a new interview, Alex Windsor was asked about the suggestion that she was signed to AEW due to her relationship with Will Ospreay.

“It definitely does light a fire under my arse. Because it’s like, ‘you know what,’ and again, people that know me and have heard of me before, I don’t expect anyone outside of the UK scene to know who I am straight away. There’s no problem with that. But I think it’s a bit of a cop-out and it’s very easy just to say, ‘oh, she’s only here because of him’, rather than be like, ‘OK, well, you know, she’s Will Ospreay’s girlfriend or fiancé. Cool, I’ll check her out.’ So I think for a lot of fans that aren’t familiar with me, it’s probably easy just to be like, ‘oh, yeah, she’s only here because of him.’ But then that just makes me think, ‘well, you know what? I’m going to prove you wrong,’ and not even in like a, ‘you apologise to me’ (way) It’s just like, well, no, I know why I’m here and I know what I can do. So sit back and watch.”
